the supergoop packaging hasn’t looked like that in a while. i’d be worried it’s expired or fake

I actually like this a lot and thought the white cast was quite minimal. I’m Asian and tanned and have a hard time finding mineral sunscreen that doesn’t leave a white cast. I do however, always put on moisturizer before sunscreen. Maybe that combination works out well?

This does not sit well over time. I felt like it pilled up, even on its own, no makeup on top.

I don't get any white cast when I use it. And, yes, I use enough to properly protect my face & neck. And I have very fair skin.

Mostly routine is AM: cetaphil facial wash and supergoop unseen sunscreen PM: cetaphil facial wash and cerave moisturizing cream. I do differin on my forehead daily, on top of the moisturizer, unless my forehead skin stings when I add the moisturizer (like maybe after 4-5 days of use), then I skip a day. I notice a slight stinging when I use the moisturizer at night, mostly under my eyes. It is the same as the stinging when I overuse differin. Could this be from the sunscreen? I know differin/tretinoin 'spreads under the skin' but I don't put it anywhere near my eyes so I'm having a hard time thinking the differin would move from my forehead to underneath my eyes? Wouldn't my eye sockets be in the way? So that leaves just the moisturizer and the sunscreen. I've tried neutrogena facial sunscreen while at the beach and it stung like all hell, horribly. But I can't be sure bc maybe the hot sun had something to do with it. I also tried the biossance mineral sunscreen and my face stung when I washed my face afterwards.... more than the supergoop one. Not sure what to do... I'm going to go back to just the moisturizer (no differin/no sunscreen) and see if it makes me sting. Then add back sunscreen and see what happens. Hoping that I don't break out with cystic acne bc this is a huge issue for me and skin products despite using birth control and spiro. What do I do if I'm just allergic to sunscreen???? Can I keep using it? Or would that be bad for my skin. So far, I only had a mild sting under my eyes but I'm just concerned to cause more harm than good I'm at my wits end with my skin!!

That’s interesting! I used it on my son and was amazed by how easily it blended in without leaving a white cast.

I couldn’t find the supergoop dupe last time I was there and I had to get this and I hate it.

I’m so pale I glow in the dark and it left a white cast on me :( PS: yes I waited for it to absorb and it still left a cast on my face.

I tried this and the white cast was only noticeable on me a little bit (I’m very pale), but it flaked weirdly at my hairline and around my eyebrows. It looked really bad, so I’ve decided I’ll just use it on my body until it’s gone, and I won’t buy it again. I’ll stick with the invisible gel, my favorite sunscreen of all time.

So I'm definitely very pale, and that might be why it works for me, but I do not have this issue. I always shake the bottle well per the instructions and I can cover my whole face with a pea-sized amount. It starts out looking like this, but fully disappears as I gently rub it in. It does take a little while to rub it in, and I don't think it would "absorb" if just left alone—you definitely need to keep rubbing and blending or it will stay visible and streaky. It does have a matte finish so I like to use a more luminous and moisturizing makeup primer over it. I love this product! Other sunscreens I've tried don't work well with makeup and break me out. UPDATE: Okay no one is going to see this but in case anyone stumbles on this post and is still wondering about this sunscreen, I'm now using the recommended amount and it still fully rubs into my skin. I'm not saying someone with darker skin wouldn't have issues with white cast, I'm just saying in OP's photo, it looks very streaky and that's probably an issue with application, not the product itself. It at the very least doesn't look streaky if you shake it well and rub it in, and on me, it's invisible. I really like it.

I just got this and it really dries my skin out! Not a fan.

**TRIED IT** My Sephora happened to get this in when I was picking something else up. So I tied it on in store and it is a BIG fat no for me. It is somewhat hydrating and I appreciate that it has Vit c in it. So if I could replace my moisturizer that has Niacinamide in it, other Vit C and SPF with this single product- sure, no problem . Between those two or three, it would end up being around the same cost for this single bottle (although getting much less, I like to simplify though). But it doesn’t so I can’t. I still needed a light moisturizer underneath for my dry as the Sahara skin, and I absolutely could not apply anywhere near enough to get the full SPF coverage. I looked like a slick greaseball and it never dried down or sunk in with the amount used. The one of the employees at Sephora kept saying “A little goes a long way!”… which is fine for makeup and most skin products. But definitely not sunscreen. Now- if you had normal skin and wanted a single product for your moisturizer, Niacinamide, and Vit C. It might actually work to replace those. But definitely not as an SPF Edit: I do want to point out though that the tint was nice. I am pale as fuck and it did not leave me with any sort of weird oompa loompa look. The woman that was helping me had this glorious deeeep skin tone and the darker shade left no cast on her at all.

SuperGoop mineral unseen sunscreen is fantastic

Even the goop dupe is a nah for me. It blended nicely but the sun protection was worst, not really protect anything at all.

the unseen sunscreen isn’t sold at Canadian Sephora because it didn’t pass spf requirements for Canada (source: a girl that works at Sephora, so take it or leave it) They have a different formula for Canada that’s white like classic sunscreen. Kinda not surprised the unseen product or dupes aren’t working.

The Unseen Sunscreen has a dimethicone heavy base, and is meant to work as a primer as well as a sunscreen. It’s possible that’s all you need!Just let the sunscreen sit for 10-15 minutes, then go in with your foundation as normal, and see how it goes!

I’ve also tried Supergoop Unseen sunscreen, which I loved until I realized it was causing me to break out.

The supergoop matte screen is my absolute favorite/holy grail product—I really do not like to leave the house without a layer of this miracle product. It’s spf 40 and a mineral formula with a beige tint. It makes my skin look poreless and keeps me (oily person👋) matte all day long, so on errand days I just wear this with some eyebrow gel and mascara, but on full face makeup days, I use supergoop’s tinted cc screen on top since it’s more full coverage. Also for context, I tried supergoop’s unseen sunscreen the other day bc everyone raves about it but I HATED the consistency (felt like rubbing Vaseline on my face) and the scent was gross and lingering, I’m actually planning to return it this week.

I’ve been using supergoop matte sunscreen and it does the job! I have a super oily skin and I’ve been using that for 5 months now. It has minerals so it’s supposed to be good for people with oily skin. And it also doesn’t give off any white cast. You can use it as a make up primer too!

I’ve bought so many fake dupes of this sunblock (it’s so good, I love it) that I just had to give it up.

I’m using supergoop unseen and Elf hydro grip or Elf serum primer. Something is wrong as it used to sit beautifully, and naturally on my skin. Now it’s a mess.

I used this one for a trip to Mexico and the smell is attached to those memories. It burned when it got in my eyes but overall I would repurchase too

I just ran out of my La Roche-Posay Anthelios Ultra-Light Sunscreen Fluid SPF 60 and I can't wait to go back to it. I bought Supergoop Unseen Sunscreen and it is fine, but I prefer the La Roche-Posay. I like the matte finish and it almost works like a tone-up cream on me. I don't usually wear makeup, but if I use a primer or BB cream on top it looks really nice.

I’d been using a few different ones before, mostly Supergoop Unseen but it’s stupidly expensive.

This was actually the reason supergoop was invented I think if you go to there website and put in the school information they send one of the jugs to the classroom. I used to work at a certain beauty store were we learned about brands and products and I always liked supergoop for doing that

Personally I’ve tried almost every spf on the market (Paula’s choice, neutrogena, shiseido, dermologica, Cooper tone, ect) and feel this has been best for dry to normal skin. Was previously using super goop unseen which is in a similar price bracket, this was a huge level up for my skincare.

The old one was great. Idk why they changed it.

I know y'all love your skin so I need to warn you about this. I read a bunch on this forum 7 years ago to find out which sunblock people liked the most and it seemed to be this one. Been using it ever since. I bought a 3-pack 70 gram one initially. Smells scented. I knew something was wrong by the smell of it so I intentionally bought one at a higher price point to test out. It was as if it were normally unpleasant, so they put a fruit scent in there to make it smell nicer 2. The fake one has sharp corner(s) at the top. 3. Cap color is darker white 4. Sunblock color is more yellow than white 5. Container is lighter blue 6. Cardboard packaging doesn't have the English tags 7. Cardboard packaging colors are off Which leads me to think...this "sunblock" is probably ineffective and has harmful chemicals in it. If y'all got the fake ones, throw them out.
