Celluma LED Mask

I bought the Hooga mask and am so upset with the odd shape of it. The forehead area is so low. I have a medium sized forehead and this doesn’t even cover my forehead all the way. I was also hoping that it would reach into/past my hairline to help revive my hair growth. I tried moving it up higher and blinded myself 🫶 0/10 recommend unless you have a 1.5 inch forehead. I should have just got a damn panel.

I’m still not a fan of the Celluma.

Does anyone know anything about Celluma? There's a ton of LEDs on the market (Joov, BioMax, Celluma, Red Rush etc) but it seems Celluma is FDA indicated for reducing wrinkles/fine lines/acne etc and has a wound healing indication in the EU which is interesting. I also spoke with a Celluma rep who told me the company is currently undergoing peripheral neuropathy trials, so this product seems legit however I am skeptical as hell and other than this YouTube video can't seem to find any reviews of it that aren't just text based quotes from aestheticians. I also am skeptical of it's lack of negative reviews. I’d like to talk to someone that owns one.

Celluma is the brand that partnered with NASA and athletes to create red light therapy tech and is FDA cleared for various treatments. I’m an esthetician and it’s the only brand I’ll invest in for at home/in spa red light therapy. It’s pricey yet actually effective for wrinkles, acne, hair growth and pain management. Not all their panels work the same so there are options for those looking to restore collagen in joints and those looking to improve skin and hair

The most unexpected change was my brows and lashes grew more… I’ve spent forever trying to get my brows to bush out from my sad over-plucked y2k look but since using the mask I’ve had noticeable hair growth! I’ve been using mine for about 5 months now and saw my skin ‘feel good’ reasonably quickly - but nothing major, just good skins days increased. Now, I’m actually noticing things like my smile lines are far less noticeable. Other things I noticed were crazy quick healing time - I fell down the stairs (:/) and had a terrible bruise on my arm so I used the rlt on it and it went away within a week (I know, it’s hard to know how long it would’ve taken otherwise, but it seemed very quick..). When I was 1st using it I happened to have 2 sets of stitches (same size, obviously same day, same dr etc) and I used it on 1 and not the other OH BOY! The one I used it on is gone now (2 months later) completely, the other is a very obvious scar. I think it really is a long-game but it’s worth it.

Other than that I do notice a difference in how my skin glows if I use it consistently. Besides the red LED for anti aging, I also like that there’s an acne option and an option for pain/muscles. Bonus points for being able to use it on other parts of your body such as the neck/chest and hands. I was drawn to this device specifically because this is what some spas use and it has the right wavelengths to be effective. I’m in between but lean more towards repurchasing due to the versatility.

Meh. The only thing I don’t like about it is that I have to stay in one place to use it (vs an LED mask where you can walk around).

Celluma. It is what they use in dr offices. Got it years ago, still works great. See noticeable changes when i am consistent. Keeps a bruise from forming if i get hurt, also has an acne setting that is great if you have a break out. Id suggest a panel as you can use on other parts of body that are achey.

I have been trying to find someone that actually owns one, and have yet to come in contact with a reputable person that I feel is being honest with their ownership of one. I talked to one person who used it for acne and it didn't work, probably because she was suffering from hormonal acne, but I will be following this thread like a hawk. I am HIGHLY suspicious that there are literally ZERO reviews of the celluma mask with the exception of one beauty influencer. Dr. David Lim is someone I watch, along with Dr. Dray, and they both are on the fence although based on my research I will definitely be buying an infared LED therapy device, but not a mask. It is very complicated, taking variables such as J/cm2, length of time etc into consideration which is why the celluma appeals to me, but I have been on the fence about it for months and still am. I asked a esthetician on reddit who said her practice got one of these what the results were, and crickets. Obviously any med spa that pays to own one of these, will not say it doesn't work. So, I'm very skeptical, not because of the science, but because of the lack of seemingly credible reviews. Celluma used 2-3x per week makes noticeable difference.
