Heroine Make Mascara

This mascara has been a consistent repurchase for me, not just because mascaras have a very limited lifespan but because it's genuinely the one, my forever makeup love, my og. Anyway, while decluttering, I stumbled upon one of my old and probably expired 😭 heroine make mascara and decided to try it again and naalala ko how it got me through a really bad breakup noon na even after hours of crying, ni isang smudge wala, yang pilik ko nakatayo pa rin.

I never thought I would say this, but I am retiring my Heroine Make Long & Curl in place of this mascara. The good: keeps the eyelashes curled up to 12 hours, waterproof, and even distribution of product between lashes. I wore this during a boat trip where I snorkelled multiple times and swam at the sea like there's no tomorrow and it did come off but not completely. I would say half of the product was still there but the curl was gone (at this point, I wasn't even mad. The bad: Not really a con since it's expected but because it's very waterproof, it does need a strong makeup remover. From my exp, cleansing oil doesn't really remove it enough as well as micellar water. I've noticed balms tend to work better (used Heimish cleansing balm and it comes off like a dream). Rate: 5/5

It is a little bit stubborn to remove, but easier than the Heroine Make one (which is quite good for curl but nothing on this Cezanne!). Cezanne recommends using their mascara remover, but I was okay removing mine with my make up remover (Chifure Washable Cold Cream) and my little microfiber makeup pad. (Edit: after using this for a while now, I now recommend using a mascara remover like the one from Heroine Make!)

Heroine make use to be my favorite, but it gets clumpy and looks less natural after a few uses.

Sharing with you how my HG mascara looks on me. Super LOOOOOONG lasting niya, I swear. 😭❤️ PROS: Smudge-proof, swaetproof and waterproof!! Lahat na ng proof!! 🤣 CONS: Mahirap talaga tanggalin even when using my softymo oil cleanser, I suggest you get the lash remover from the same brand. Heroine Make if you want a thicker looking lash, CLIO if you want a more natural looking lash. Whichever one you choose, use the Etude House Dr Mascara Fixer beforehand as a primer and it’ll hold all day even in humid weather! Remove with Heroine Make mascara remover :)

I purchased some Heroine Make mascara over a month ago (I believe long and curl). In the beginning I couldn't find an oil that would remove it! I finally caved and purchased their own remover.

My HG mascara is the heroine make long and curl mascara, and I found this one easier to remove.

Even the KISS ME Heroine Make mascara, which is the stuff of legends where you can cry through marathons of horribly sad + tragic movies, rub your eyes until you get pink eye, get thrown into the sea, survive through the apocalypse AND STILL LOOK FABULOUS. Apparently not for me! That stuff is amazing, really, but it always smears on my under eyes (hello panda eyes) even though I can tell the formula is amazingly indestructible.
