the exception here is Stratia Liquid Gold—AB inspired, cult favorite, and top of my why-doesn’t-my-skin-love-this list.
Stratia liquid gold serum ($24) CHANGED MY LIFE. I will never stop using this stuff. I just bought another bottle because I never want to run out. I will hoard this in a zombie apocalypse. It has been the most dramatic product in repairing my skin barrier. I noticed a difference after 2 days of using it.
If I need to boost my moisture barrier, I’ll use Stratia Lipid Gold and then Dr. Jart Ceramidin cream.
I am not exaggerating when I say this is literally the most amazing shit I have ever put on my face in my life. Redness starting receding within days. A night with retinoids was no longer followed with peeling, pain, redness, or stinging — all of my hallmarks of a compromised moisture barrier.
When I went back to Stratia Liquid Gold I heard my skin breathe a sigh of relief. I don't even care if it doesn't contain enough ceramides, or the proper ceramide/cholesterol/fatty acid ratio, Liquid Gold is likely the single most softening and nourishing product I've ever put on my face. 💛
Rank 4 (127 upvotes): Stratia Lipid Gold Moisturizer
I am on my 3rd bottle of Liquid Gold. Mine has never goopy or hard to spread. Guess this really proves the YMMV thing!!
That... would definitely be concerning if Stratia is claiming something that isn't true (especially since I was planning to pick some up before I start tretinoin in case [let's be real: probably when] I damage my moisture barrier). If it were 3:1:1 but just at a concentration that doesn't reflect the research, that's one thing (still not ideal, obviously), but if SK-Influx isn't 3:1:1 in the first place...
